Clean your trailer tent with these simple steps

If the fabric of your trailer tent is very dirty, do not wait too long before cleaning it. The method described below is suitable for almost all trailer tents with cotton or technical cotton tent canvas. In a few simple steps your trailer tent will be delightfully fresh again.

User Instructions: cleaning trailer tent with Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo

  1. If possible, leave the tent on the van. 
  2. First clean the tent canvas of your trailer tent with water lukewarm water and a soft brush.
  3. Apply Ultramar Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo on the still wet tent canvas and brush well to loosen the grime. Use a plant sprayer for this.
  4. Allow to soak in for around 20 minutes.
  5. Use a brush and plenty of water to remove the shampoo. Rinse thoroughly.
  6. Allow the tent canvas of your trailer tent to dry.
  7. If grime can still be seen, you can continue cleaning with Ultramar Power Cleaner. 

User Instructions: Remove heavy grime with Power Cleaner

  1. Apply Power Cleaner to the tent with a plant sprayer. Rub the agent in with a soft brush First test on an inconspicuous part of the fabric for colour fastness.
  2. Allow to soak in for approximately 1 hour. Can't see any change? Spray extra Power Cleaner, brush and again allow to soak in. Repeat these steps until the stains are gone. This can sometimes take a few hours. Rinse well afterwards.
  3. Allow the tent canvas to dry well.
  4. Use Canvas & Cotton Protector to protect and make the tent canvas water-repellent again.
