Cleaning your boat cover is important!
If your boat cover is dirty, do not wait too long before cleaning. Grime easily attaches to grime. And grime retains moisture for longer. green build-up and fungus grow even faster on a dirty damp boat cover. So if you do nothing, the boat cover will become increasingly dirty.
Directions for use: Boat Cover Cleaning with Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo
Ultramar Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo is a strong fabric cleaner. You use this cleaner to first remove all normal grime from the boat cover. Follow the steps below:
- First clean the boat cover with lukewarm water, All grime detached in so doing is taken away.
- Spray Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo on the wet fabric. It is not harmful if the shampoo gets on the window panes. Use the brush to loosen the grime.
- Allow the shampoo to soak in for approximately 20 minutes.
- Rinse the boat cover well with water, to remove all grime and shampoo.
- Allow the boat cover to dry.
- Is there still grime on the fabric? Then continue with Ultramar Power Cleaner.

Doesn't all dirt disappear with Sprayhood & Tent Shampoo? Then continue with Ultramar Power Cleaner.
- Spray Power Cleaner on the dry fabric. Use the spray or plant sprayer again.
- Rub in well with a soft brush
- Allow Power Cleaner to soak in for approximately 1 hour.
- Can't see any change? Spray extra Power Cleaner, brush and again allow to soak in. Repeat these steps until the stains are gone. This can sometimes take a few hours.
- Are you happy? Rinse the boat cover well with clean water.
- Allow the boat cover to dry well.
- Protect the boat cover with a strong impregnating agent.
